Stinking holidays!
Okay, I’m a day behind schedule thanks to camping trips and things like that, but I did get the list of art assets done today. It’s posted here:

The thing I’m really wondering about is whether I can find someone who can do that in 2-3 weeks? I may be underestimating the ninja skills of the typical artist! 🙁
Don’t Tip Your Hand!
Nick G. posted a comment on one of the Horse Crazy posts that said, in part:
Also, you sound like me and get REALLY excited about things. But is sharing your main ideas and core concepts and showing whiteboards a good idea? It would seem someone could come along and say “Hey, I’m going to do that” and beat you to it, or make it better or whatever?
Here’s the way I look at that scenario…
The people who have the skills and “gumption” to create a game have so many ideas of their own that they don’t need another one.
Lots of people want to create a game, but very few actually do. Because the idea is the easy thing. It’s the coding and polishing and publishing that actually separates the people who want to from the people who actually do.
So while someone could “rip me off” I think it’s a long shot — and being able to brainstorm ideas with everyone is worth the gamble. 🙂
That said, I’m not rich yet, so I could be completely off base. Maybe I’d be coding on a 60-foot catamaran in the Caribbean (my dream home) if I kept all my ideas to myself. 🙂
What’s Next?
Okay, tomorrow I’ll hook the six screens of the game together via Director (and 1.3 was released today so that will be geek fun) so you can go from one to the other and will be able to check out the flow of the app.
Here’s a picture of my own horse crazy girl, Chelsea. She never outgrew it. 🙂
You make some good points sir.
The ideas are SO EASY – I have to turn off my brain, but no – I just put them in one note and when I get done with one application (still working on my first one, since jumping into corona with 0 programming experience about 42 days ago) I’ll just flip through my notes and see what game or parts of games I can combine/use solo for my next adventure 🙂
The coding, ya that’s taking some time. Simple stuff makes me mad.
Like how to make an object keep jumping over and over again? (if you know, I’d be very happy, im using apply linear impulse)
Take care, sounds like things are coming along quickly for you!
